Mayor Declares Clean Up Day a Success

May 5th, 2008 by Jessica Rich

Wednesday’s Community Clean Up was a Tremendous Success. The free recycling service received items beyond my wildest dreams — I think we should have them back again this year to provide another opportunity to our residents.

The clean up of community spaces when GREAT!

Thanks to all who volunteered to Help keep Floodwood Beautiful — and Make Floodwood a Great Place to Live, Work, Worship, and do Business.

  1. Floodwood City Hall Says:

    This just in…
**over 25 volunteers including 14 girl scouts helped with the community clean up.
**John from John’s Twin Ports Recycling was able to transport a full truck load of electronics.
**LP Heine’s scrap metal trailer was full well before 6:00 PM!
**The brush dump attendant reported 15 loads of brush was brought in. For some residents it was the first time they visited the dump - some reported they didn’t even know the City had a place for citizens to bring yard waste. They commented now they know they have a free place to bring the waste they will do it every year. **Thank you to the police department for serving a wonderful BBQ.
